Levi’s Wear Longer Project Employee & Community Engagement Event

January 24 and 26 — San Francisco, CA

Over two days in San Francisco, 51̽»¨ and Levi’s® brought the Wear Longer Project to life for employees and students. On January 22, our team led a hands‑on lunch‑and‑learn at Levi’s® headquarters, where about 100 employees learned to sew a button and stepped into their role as program ambassadors. On January 24, we hosted a three‑hour Clothing Repair Workshop for 50 high school students—selected from more than 250 applicants—featuring guided repair instruction, interactive stations, and behind‑the‑scenes access to the Levi’s® Eureka Innovation Lab. Students left with new skills and project ideas to take back to their schools and communities.

51̽»¨ at SXSW Edu

March 9–12 — Austin, TX

We kicked off SXSW Edu by convening educators and industry leaders for a joint 51̽»¨ and IBM session, Empowering Educators for the Future with AI, in partnership with IBM SkillsBuild. The well‑attended session highlighted how our organizations are working together to equip educators with practical AI, cybersecurity, and digital literacy skills that translate directly into classroom impact.

Together, we showcased IBM SkillsBuild’s free learning pathways and industry‑recognized credentials alongside 51̽»¨â€™s educator‑ready curriculum, demonstrating how aligned resources can strengthen instruction and better prepare students for a technology‑driven future. The discussion also reinforced the importance of ongoing professional learning, with real‑world examples educators can apply immediately to support teaching and learning.

Immersive Learning, Ready for the Classroom

To celebrate and support our DEN Community this March, 51̽»¨ distributed over 100 Immersive Classroom Kits to educators nationwide as a surprise‑and‑delight initiative delivering immediate, classroom‑ready value. The kits were designed to help educators bring immersive learning experiences to life—supporting student exploration, creativity, and engagement across subjects.

Paired with hands‑on classroom tools, the kits connected educators to no‑cost immersive resources like Sandbox, TimePod Adventures, and game‑based learning experiences such as Haul, Harvest, Crash Course, and Financia, which use gamification to deepen understanding and boost student engagement—reinforcing 51̽»¨â€™s commitment to practical instruction educators can use right away.
